About The Team And Role
The Product Operations team plays a vital role in supporting Quora’s mission by providing excellent user support, fostering safe communities, and driving various initiatives. We focus on improving support, content moderation, internationalization, and monetization for both Quora and Poe. Our ultimate objective is to deliver an exceptional user experience. The team actively engages with users, gathers feedback, and ensures quality assurance, making them an integral part of Quora’s operations.
Our team is small and high-impact, where each member significantly influences the product and user experience. The team is also highly collaborative, with individuals typically partnering with one or more teammates as well as cross-functional groups.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to the Product Operations team, focusing on supporting and enhancing the user experience on Poe platforms through meticulous quality assurance and testing efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting detailed manual regression testing to ensure the seamless functionality of new features, as well as identifying and documenting bugs in the product, and providing qualitative feedback around improvements to the end product to help inform future product work.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual regression testing to ensure that new features or updates do not adversely affect existing functionalities. Meet deadlines and report findings to the engineering team daily
- Create clear and practical bug reports, taking ownership of the process to ensure that issues are addressed
- Work closely with the engineering team to resolve bugs
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of product checklists, quality processes, and procedures
- Identify gaps in product quality and propose solutions for improvement
- Provide critique and feedback on usability or features as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Excel
- Proven ability to work independently with enthusiasm, energy, and drive
- At least 4 years of professional QA testing experience in cross-platform mobile applications, including iOS and Android
- In-depth knowledge of software development and the QA lifecycle
- High efficiency and accuracy in performing repetitive tasks, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail while adhering to timelines
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Requirements
- Thoughtful usage of Poe
- Passion for Quora’s mission and goals
- Experience in working with Slack, Asana, Sauce Labs or other similar software
- An understanding of and ability to create automated UI testing
